Schools applied for the “School Without Bullying – School Without Violence” label between June 3 and June 28, as published on the Directorate-General for Education website on June 3, 2024.
Schools should be privileged spaces for preventing and combating all forms of violence. Therefore, it is crucial for schools to define and implement their plans to prevent and combat bullying and cyberbullying under the “School Without Bullying – School Without Violence” initiative.
Aligned with the premises of the National Strategy for Citizenship Education and the profile of students completing compulsory education, it is essential to continue promoting an environment of well-being in every school. The collaboration of the entire educational community, especially children and young people, is key to this transformation. Every space should foster empathy and respect, ensuring that inclusion is a reality, free from prejudice, stereotypes, and hate speech.
The latest edition of this initiative saw a significant increase in the number of certified schools, rising from 208 in 2022 to 405 in 2023.
